April 2006 Dick presents his new (Country-)band
formed with some topmusicians, chosen from his own close musical friends.
Next to Dick, who will be doing vocals and guitar, the group consists of:

Ad Welten
bas/vocals
He played in several bands with Ruud Hermans and is leader of the nr. 1 country
band in the Benelux: Cash On Delivery.
Ad gladly made time to tour with the new Dick van Altena club but of course stays
connected with his C.O.D.

Jan Bernards
leadgitaar/vocals
|
Jan is a much asked session-musician. He can be heard on lots if not the most of
Dick van Altena's and Major Dundee's albums. He was once part of the Moonlight Riders,
a Dutch country band predominantly consisting of ex-members of the legendary Walkers.

Ben Jansen
drums/vocals
Ben more than earned his spores in the musicworld. He made his debut with, yes
indeed, The Major Dundee Band, and after that he played a.o. in The
Shorts, Kadanz and V.O.F. De Kunst. So now he's back to his roots in the band
of brother in-law Dick van Altena.

The group, simply called Dick van Altena & Band, cought up with fame by now.
During the try-out in Glane, awaited for a long time by lots of fans, all
expectations were fulfilled and people witnessed the start of another surely to
be succesfull episode in the multi sided carier of singer-songwriter Dick van Altena.
